THE LARGEST DEVELOPMENT IN CANADA’S HISTORY
Square One District Condos is part of a new master-planned, mixed-use development located in Mississauga’s downtown core. This 130-acre community is the largest development in Canada’s history. The proposal includes a total of 37 towers, with 18 of these being condominium towers offering a combined total of 9146 units, while the remaining 19 towers will be purpose-built rental apartment building that contain 8974 units.
The first phase of Square One District Condos will include 2 pre-construction condos at the Southeast corner of Rathburn Road and Confederation Parkway. Standing 36 and 48-storeys high, these buildings will be connected by a shared podium and will include a combined total of 977 units. 505 of the existing units are condo suites, while 402 will be rental suites.
The downtown core of Mississauga will endure complete transformation. Residents can recognize this area, as it’s best known for the renowned Square One Shopping Centre, which is the largest shopping mall in Ontario and second largest in Canada.
Around the development, residents will find Burnhamthorpe Road to the south, Confederation Parkway to the west, Highway 403 to the north and
Hurontario Street to the east. Once this remarkable development is complete, it will be known as a city within a city!

The centre of the new development will be called The Strand, which will be used as a pedestrian-friendly space that connects each tower and contains a community park, restaurants, cafes, nightlife and a transit hub. The purpose of The Strand is to emphasize human experience and connect residents in the complex.
A significant aspect of this community is the development of several office towers, which will create 35,000 new jobs. Creating this vibrant urban hub will highly support Mississauga’s vibrant employment hub.
With transit as a priority, the future Hurontario LRT and the MiWay Bus Rapid Transit will incorporate stations and stops throughout the development. This reliable transit will connect commuters around Mississauga, the GTA and Toronto.
Located steps from the upscale 2.2 million sq. ft. Square One Shopping Centre will allow residents to have several retail, services, entertainment and dining options at the tip of their fingers.
